Dates that deserve a special table
Six times a year, the kitchen prepares a menu for the occasion, published a month before the date on its own page. Then there is the game season, which is not a separate menu but two months of a menu devoted to game.

Seven dates in the year
The game season
Two months a year, game takes centre stage. It isn't a separate menu: game is the current menu, served at lunch and dinner.
Christmas
The family meal, the one you plan ahead and don't want to miss. A festive menu served throughout December, and two more intimate rooms for parties who want to be on their own.
New Year's Eve
A multi-course menu to end the year, in a Lower Town house with a view of the cathedral.
Valentine's Day
A multi-course menu for two, served on the evening of Valentine's Day. In 2027, 14 February falls on a Sunday.
Easter
The Easter Sunday family meal: lamb as the centrepiece and the first asparagus of the season.
Mother's Day
The most sought-after lunch service of the year. Large tables, the terrace if the weather allows, and a menu created for the occasion.
Bénichon
Fribourg's festival par excellence, and the menu that goes with it: cuchaule and Bénichon mustard, cabbage soup, jambon de la borne, leg of lamb, poires à botzi, meringues and double cream.
